At the Conservatorio di Musica “Benedetto Marcello” the different school periods are organized as follows:

• Academic year
  Studies start the 1st week of November and finish the 1st week of June
  Application deadline: April 1st

• Fall Semester: from the 1st week of November to the 2nd week of February
  Application deadline: April 1st

• Spring Semester: from the 2nd week of March to the 1st week of June
  Application deadline: October 15th

Winter exam period: Beginning of February – Beginning of March
Summer exam period: Half of June – Half of July

Christmas holidays from December 23rd to January 6th
Easter holidays: from April 4th to 6th
Other holidays: November 21st, December 8th, April 25th, May 1st, June 2nd

Requirements for the application
The students or their Institutions have to send the application via Easy-MO (Easy Mobility Online) platform.
Required documents are:

• Curriculum Vitae
• Picture
• For Performers at least 15 minutes of recording and for Composition students at least two scores
• Motivation letter
• Language certificate
• Recognition of previous studies

Finding accommodation in Venice requires time and patience, due to the uniqueness of the city. The Conservatory is located in Sestiere Dorsoduro, close to the Gallerie dell’Accademia Museum. We advise you to start looking for housing well in advance of your arrival. The main language of instruction is Italian. The availability of courses in English depends on the subject and the teacher. A minimum B1 level in Italian is highly recommended for a successful academic experience.
